Testimony

John 4:39

“And many…believed because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”

After a brush with death as an adult, through a near-fatal illness (sepsis), Janet suddenly experienced the power and presence of the Holy Spirit drawing her to faith in Jesus Christ. As the mother of two very young children, still weak with sickness, she met Jesus through the pages of her Bible one evening as she read and prayed.  Jesus’ words came alive in her heart as she read, “I am the way and the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). Instantly, she had an understanding that the Gospel message she had heard about in Church as a child, was true. She suddenly believed that Jesus had indeed died on the cross for her sins and that He forgave her. She was filled with a new sense of peace and a joy that she had never known, as she came to personal faith in Jesus.

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Not long after her conversion to Christ, she experienced a powerful touch from the Holy Spirit as He healed and strengthened her physically while she was attending a ministry conference. Soon after, she received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, just as the first believers had on the Day of Pentecost. Thus, she began her new life with Christ over twenty years ago. Since that time, she has continually sought a deepening relationship with the Lord, invited Him to heal the broken places in her own life, and served Christ by helping others to do the same.

As a result of her own sudden conversion experience, and many life changing experiences with the Holy Spirit, she is passionate about leading others into a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and to seek the Baptism and guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to serve Jesus more effectively and live with God’s purpose at the center of their lives.

Matthew 8:17

This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

Since the time of her conversion, Janet has overcome many struggles, even as she has faced great personal difficulty. Through it all, she has found that Jesus Christ is faithful and that the Holy Spirit is an ever-present help in times of trouble. She trains others to apply the Bible to their everyday lives so that they can thrive even during difficult circumstances. Janet has a personal calling to help believers, across denominational lines, experience a deeper walk with Jesus through understanding Biblical truth about the Holy Spirit. Having experienced divine healing, she also prays for the sick and desires to see them emotionally, spiritually, and physically healed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Her prayer is to see revival in the Church and to see seekers come to faith in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 43:2

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
